Invest International provides Protix a €1 million development loan, helping fund a critical feasibility study

Protix is exploring the feasibility of building a new production facility in South Korea. In South Korea, two important factors come together: favorable regulations and advanced food waste infrastructure that allow safe conversion of household, restaurant, and supermarket food waste into insect feed—unlike in the EU, where such use is still not yet approved.

Through collaboration with local partners, Protix plans to build a new facility capable of upcycling up to 130,000 tons of food waste annually,  turning food waste into valuable feed ingredients.
