King Willem-Alexander will visit Protix and open the most advanced insect nursery in the world

On Tuesday morning, 11 June, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander will visit insect breeder Protix in Bergen op Zoom. Protix is celebrating the opening of the new insect farm and also its 10th anniversary.

During the visit, King Willem-Alexander will be given a tour of the most advanced insect farm in the world. During the visit to Protix, the King will be accompanied by Minister Carola Schouten of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality.

Founder and CEO Kees Aarts: ‘We are very honoured to receive King Willem-Alexander on June 11th during the opening of our state-of-the-art nursery in Bergen op Zoom.
