In 2021, the Centre of Oxygen, Research and Development, in collaboration with Nutrilab and Protix, published a study in the journal Molecules that explores the joint health potential of Protix's black soldier fly protein ingredients.

Joint diseases are often characterised by tissue degradation and inflammation, leading to pain and reduced mobility in affected animals.

This study investigates the in-vitro anti-inflammatory activity and glucosamine content of Protix's protein products, both relevant to promote animal's joint health.

The findings suggest that Protix's protein ingredients could help prevent joint diseases like arthritis by reducing inflammation and providing essential joint-building blocks. The research encourages further exploration into the use of black soldier fly ingredients to prevent arthritic conditions.
