ProteinX enhances the yield, quality, and taste of seafood, making it a valuable ingredient for aquaculture. This is confirmed in recent trials conducted by Aller Aqua in collaboration with the Norwegian University of Life Sciences and Norwegian salmon producer Austevoll Melaks AS. The studies show improvements in both slaughter yield of whole fish and fillet yield. Additionally, raw fillets exhibited enhanced firmness, reduced gaping, improved colour, and fewer dark melanin spots. Furthermore, the taste was superior.
Moreover, studies reveal an increasing number of health benefits associated with ProteinX. A recent study by the Institute of Marine Research (IMR) in Norway found that including ProteinX at up to 10% in the diet positively affects stress, mucosal barrier function, wound healing, and liver health in sea-grown salmon.
